Air Force Space Command Patch [Series III-Back To Earth]

Again, this is one of those patches which has a number of variants out there to choose from. Between Series III-V, the Space Command shield patch can be found above the screen-right breast pocket of Lister's leather jacket. By Series VII, it has ultimately moved over to its screen-left sleeve, where it remains until the close of, Back To Earth.

If you're on the lookout for one of these, I recommend trying to find a version featuring an inner-white lower banner, with just the words, "Space Command" in gold. Occasionally, similar patches with "Air Force Space Command" have popped-up in searches, which I reckon aren't quite as accurate.

Also known as AFSPC, this iteration of the US Space Command lasted for around 37 years before being reorganized into the modern-day United States Space Force. Recently, Trekkies noted similarities with the iconic delta insignia from 1966 in the new design, which actually carries over from at least 1942. Just wait until the next hologrammic president renames the division as, the "Space Corps." And introduces a standardized international currency called the "Dollarpound". And builds a city-sized mining ship called the "Red Dwarf". That'll be such a smegging laugh.
