National Space Society Patch [Series VII-VIII]

I never thought I'd ever say how proud I am of my patch-finding abilities, but that being said, I am so proud of my patch-finding abilities.

If I recall, this streamlined design first caught my eye during the 10th Anniversary special, Can't Smeg Won't Smeg, as the flatter studio lighting provides arguably the best conditions for drawing specific details.

Frustratingly, only half or so of the patch is visible in any given episode it appears, due to the nature of how it has been affixed to the leather waistcoat. The screen-left flap of the costume also partially obscures the patch, itself measuring only 90mm x 50mm.

The way I tracked it down was to roughly recreate the design in a graphics package, and attempt to reverse image search. When Google identified the logo as being that of the National Space Society, the long wait commenced for a suitable patch to turn up somewhere, for sale.

As the leather waistcoat in question appears between Series VII - VIII, then consequently, so does the patch.
