Madonna Pin [Series III, Series V, Series VII, Back To Earth]

Vive la France! After decades of searching, the second of the Fabled Four most frustrating pins to find from Lister's jacket has finally been tracked-down, all the way from Bonnay. As Jean-Paul Sartre himself once said, "Hell is being forever unable to find obscure Madonna pins that featured in popular sci-fi sitcoms." This one can be seen on Craig's screen-right lapel from Series III, all the way to Back To Earth, with the curious exceptions of Series IV, VI & VII.

I still know next to nothing regarding this soft enamel design, other than it strongly resembles the cover art for Madonna's 1986 studio album, True Blue. What the slightly-egregious uppermost red curve denotes, I know not either. Even the script beneath the face is somewhat difficult to make out. It looks like 'Madonna', but not quite.

Are there any Madge fanatics out there who might be able to shed light on this pin's history? According to Universe Challenge, the Queen of Pop is said to be a fellow Dwarfer, so I'm personally holding-out for the global megastar herself to take the time to share all the requisite details to this very blog, at some point, in the very near future. Can't say the same for HRH Elizabeth II, though.

Anyway, must dash-a-roony. I've got to organise your daily provision of musical entertainment. I think you're going to like it. It's a perpetually-looped tape of Dick Tracy's Tango Treats.

Measures approximately 20x30mm. Made in Taiwan [no 24-hour emergency call-out number].
