Ariel Patch [Series VII-VIII]

Another fairly-rare patch this time, with the Ariel motorcycle logo, in striking red & gold thread, against black.

This one can be found on the screen-right breast of Lister's leather waistcoat, above the STS-61C Space Shuttle and Apollo XII patches. It first appears in Series VII, with its last appearance to date, being Series VIII.

Another link to England's Second City, Ariel was founded in Bournbrook in 1902, only to be sold to BSA, another jacket connection, in 1951.
