Laser Hologram Keyring [Series III - V + VII + Back To Earth]

Usually, I wouldn't write a post concerning a newly-found item unless I had an example in hand, but... well... it should all become clear in a few dozen paragraphs. As I recall, my quest to locate all the bits that adorn Lister's jacket began in the early 1990s, on the day I was accompanied to Dillons bookstore on New Street in Birmingham (formally Midland Bank, latterly Waterstones, and presently an Apple store). Walking up the steps to the raised ground floor, much to my budding delight, staff had carefully arranged a featured display – née treasure trove – of Red Dwarf publications, spanning the Official Companion to Primordial Soup. By then I was already a dedicated fan, and very fortunately, my mother kindly offered me the chance to take my own handful of tie-ins up to the till before we headed to the bus stop for home. Yes, at very long last, on the 11th of March 2024, the fabled 'Silver Pin' was formally identified on Facebook as being of the brand 'La Rocka! England', having accompanied specific examples of the respected clothier's Medieval Biker range from many moons ago. So, aside from this being TERRIBLY EXCITING NEWS, let's find out what I got right between now and three decades ago when I began searching... Well, first off, that is certainly an eagle's head, with protruding tongue, at the badge's centre. There are also crossed battleaxes, as first astutely posited by fellow enthusiasts elsewhere to this blog, and the lower banner does indeed say "England&quo

So, thus far, even on the basis of advanced mutual compatibility on the basis of a primary initial ident, what hasn't been confirmed concerning the finer details of Lister's jacket? Well, most obviously, we don't know the make of the jacket itself. We do however know it's more or less a Perfecto lancer-fronted cut [apparently British-made], and features side venting, cuff poppers, belt poppers, popperless lapels, loose belt, no coin pocket, vertical zipped pockets, and angled zipped breast pockets. We know that the screen-right sleeve is missing much of its elbow, and the screen-left shoulder has similarly been reattached using grommets and loosely-bound cord. The Silver Pin [Series III-VI] [unconfirmed]

Right, I think it's about time I mentioned this bloody thing. As a self-proclaimed, occasional, intermittent, pseudo-expert on Lister's Jacket, I can reliably say that this single pin badge ranks among the most difficult in finding any information about whatsoever, and also by far the most frustrating to me of them all, in tracking down. I have, to date, never seen one in the wild. Let's look at the facts. The piece is about 2" x 1.5" in height and width. It seems to have a convex curve to its nature, as in a walking stick medallion, though it also looks like it could be a cap badge. Its overall shape is deceptively circular, with two demi-circles cut into the left and right edges, that some have theorized gives the appearance of opposing axe blades. It has two pinholes spaced evenly between its upper and lower edges. The centre of the pin most likely features a feathery bird of prey/eagle/osprey/emohawk's head in front of two crossed, black battleaxes, which
